Dear Jean Claude,

CIAT could provide the seed for such quantity. Other sources are SEFO-Sam in Bolivia and there is a source in Peru as well I could find out. All these sources should have good quality seed. Available is the commercial cultivar (Amarillo, Mani Forrajero) or newer material with better performance across environments, especially under more drought (CIAT 18744 - just released as Porvenir in Costa Rica or CIAT 22160).

Best wishes,

Dear Jorge,

thanks for the info. Amarillo is the commercia cultivar. Under various circumstances other Arachis accessions perform better. Let us know if you are interested to try others? Desmoidum ovalifolium is another alternative for cover in plantations and a much cheaper one than Arachis. However Arachis has a much higher quality with inherent effects on soil and as feed.

Saludos,

Estimado Miguel:

Yes, we are interested in testing different accessions of Arachis pintoi. Desmodium ovalifolium was tested years ago and did not perform well. However, if some seed is available we can try again. As you know, once is not enough.

Muchas Gracias,
