Site Map   Learning Modules   Discussion Archives	Indexes of Electronic Discussion Groups The following URLs link to categorized lists of a wide variety of electronic discussion groups, newsgroups and other mailing lists, some of which contain sustainable agriculture or soil health traffic. The NRM_changelinks index lists a number of open subscription e-mail discussion groups available through the Web. The site, which breaks the groups into categories within a natural resource management framework, also contains information on newsgroups and bulletin board-style discussion pages. The Agriculture Discussion Groups and Mailing Lists site contains an index of newsgroups and mailing lists on agriculture. In order to access these groups your Internet service provider must carry the newsgroup. Often your provider will carry the newsgroup if requested. The FAO Email Conferences site lists electronic discussion groups available through FAO. Some of the lists are conferences in which discussions are sparked by initial papers posted on the list. Others are discussion groups. The range of topics includes agroforestry, agriculture, information exchange, energy, aquaculture, agrometeorology, pest management, livestock raising, and more. Most are English language lists, though several are in Spanish. Google Groups contains numerous usenet groups on many topics. Through this site one can search for groups as well as post and read messages on them. The seach engine will find traffic on the topic of choice regardless of which group it belongs to!
