It was published by IIRR (International Institute of Rural Reconstruction). The FAO Corporate Document Repository houses FAO documents and publications (including extension material), as well as selected non-FAO publications, in electronic format. It enables users to easily access the accumulated knowledge and information produced by FAO directly on the Internet. Dryland Farming is a booklet series available for sale through World Neighbors. The series was published through Studio Driya Media and Yayasan Tananua in Indonesia and World Neighbors. Selected Temperate Region Extension Material Agricultural Extension Services lists numerous North America extension providers, many of whom provide on- and offline extension material E-answers-- Your extension information source is an on-line resource with a search engine that provides practical information from numerous Extension Services and Agricultural Experiment Stations at Land Grant universities throughout the United States. Soils and Compost Publications by ATTRA's National Sustainable Agriculture Information Service have numerous extension publications in html and pdf formats This index of soil and fertilizer extension publications from North Dakota State University (USA) contains publications that may be purchased and/or read on-line. Organic Farming is an 8 page booklet downloadable in pdf format, this document contains information on basic information on organic farming and conversion for farmers in the United Kingdom. Oregon State Univeristy Extension Service provides practical soil and nutrient management publications that include cover crop crops, manure, soil testing, crop nutrient management guides and other items that can be read on-line or purchased. This North Carolina State University (USA) list of soil science-related extension publications contains materials that can be read on-line. This Purdue University (Indiana, USA) agronomy extension publications list contains materials available on-line or for sale. Colorado State Cooperative Extension contains on-line fact sheets relating to crop production, soils and fertilizer. Cornell's Cooperative Extension website contains a list of videos available for purchase and various fact sheets related to soil, especially soil and water management. USDA Salinity Laboratory Handbook No. 60 contains information regarding the diagnosis and improvement and saline and alkaline soils. The College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources at the University of Hawaii: contains a Cover Crop and Green Manure Database outlining specifics for both leguminous and nonleguminous crops. The University of Hawaii contains a list of free publications related to cover crops, green manure, and soil and crop management. Iowa State Extension contains information on weed management, soil use in Iowa, sustainable agriculture programs through Iowa State and soil fertility information. Also see extension publications. Kansas State Extension offers publication material related to specific crops, soil fertility and management, and weed management. Louisiana State Agriculture Center provides information on fertilizer rates, nematode soil sampling and other related information.. New Mexico State College of Agriculture and Home Economics contains a list of agronomy publications. North Carolina State department of Soil Science contains a list of departmental soils-related publications. North Dakota State University offers a comprehensive list of North Dakota crop production guides and publications. University of Tennessee offers a series of publications with information about micronutrients, soil testing, and lime and fertilizer recommendations for various crops of Tennessee. University of Florida's on-line cooperative extension soil and water extension materials include soil survey, types, fertility, quality, nutrient management and related issues. Natural Resources Conservation Service contains information provided by the USDA on many aspects of soil health including soil surveys, soil descriptions, information on soil quality, soil lab data, soil glossary of terms, soil taxonomy, local soils, global soils as well as the State Soil Geographic Database. Keys to Soil Taxonomy is a 2003 publication from the USDA containing a taxonomic key for classifying soils in the field, and includes all the taxonomic changes approved since 1975. Saskatchewan Interactive is a collaborative project in Canada which built a series of educational modules on topics from agriculture to tourism. Of particular interest within the module on soils, are the sections on living soils , soil management, soil fertility, soil chemistry, and soil physics.
